MEET
Gary C. Canner, M.D., FAAOS

Dr. Gary Canner is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with more than four decades of experience caring for patients in the Berks County region. He is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered orthopedic care with a focus on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and helping individuals return to their best quality of life.

Dr. Canner earned his medical degree from Brown University Medical School after completing his undergraduate studies in biology at Brown University. He went on to complete his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he gained extensive training across the full spectrum of orthopedic conditions.

Since 1985, Dr. Canner has served as an orthopedic surgeon with Berkshire Orthopedic Associates, now part of Berks Orth. In addition to his clinical practice, he has held faculty appointments, including serving as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Throughout his career, Dr. Canner has been dedicated to advancing orthopedic care in the community, bringing deep expertise, professionalism, and compassion to every patient he treats.
