MEET
DANIEL S. HAWKINS, PA-C

Daniel Hawkins earned both his Bachelor of Science in Medical Studies and his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from DeSales University, graduating magna cum laude and earning placement on the Dean’s List throughout his undergraduate career. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Physician Assistant Society (PSPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Since joining Berks Ortho in 2018, Daniel has played an integral role in supporting both surgical and office-based care, providing pre- and post-operative management for patients and assisting Dr. Longenecker during orthopedic procedures.

Daniel’s clinical training includes a wide range of rotations across family medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, and psychiatry, giving him a well-rounded perspective on patient care. He brings strong procedural skills to his role, including first-assist surgery, joint injections and aspirations, casting and splinting, wound care, and diagnostic interpretation. Daniel is deeply committed to delivering compassionate, attentive care at every stage of treatment, taking pride in helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their care plan. He considers it a privilege to serve the Berks Ortho community and values the trust patients place in him as part of their orthopedic journey.
